Thomas Lowing

- A native of west Michigan, Tom has enjoyed living in close proximity to Lake Michigan most of his life.
- Fifteen years of experience working in architectural practices in south west Michigan formed the basis for expanding his professional career to include teaching architecture at two universities.
- After forming his own practice in 1994, he has continued to enjoy contributing to the profession and his community through volunteer service to several charitable organizations.

Since 1995 Tom has taken his decades of experience in professional practice and integrated his experience in teaching and consulting as a team leader in design and technology.
Tom received his education in architecture with a professional degree from the University of Michigan, a Master of Architecture degree. His two years of graduate study concentration were focused on energy conservation and technology in building sciences after earning his Bachelor of Science in Architecture from The University of Michigan.
As a licensed architect, Tom has continued his own education to become a LEED Accredited Professional in sustainable architecture to expand his team leadership roles in consulting on design projects as well as leading students in award winning academic competitions in the state.
