St. Mark Missionary Church
The following excerpt is from the St. Mark Missionary Church Mission Statement:
“The church window represents the vision of the Missionary Church. While the steeple might represent our loyalty in seeking God, it is the window that represents our desire to see and respond to the needs of the world. …”
When our architectural firm was engaged to take over this church project we envisioned a window that would let the light flow into the Narthex and bring a sense of cheerfulness and stimulate an engaging spirit among those who have come to worship.
Working closely with the building committee our firm was challenged to redesign the church and site layout to meet their budget and design goals. Out of the challenge we created a sense of place and instilled meaning that best represented the church mission.
